What type of information is required when I apply for a mortgage?
When applying for a mortgage the lender will require various types of documentation in order to identify you and examine your credit capabilities. We have listed the most common items that we may request. It is a good idea to have these ready when you make your enquiry as it will speed up the process of the application and give you a solid understanding of what the lenders are willing to offer you.
1. Primary Identification — Passport or Drivers License.
2. Proof of Residence — 2 x recent utility bills. 3. Proof of Income — Salary slips, bank statements, tax credits awards etc. 4. Occupational Details — Employer’s name and contact details. 5. Self Employment details (if applicable) — Accountant details etc. 6. Expenditure — Mortgage payments, credit card and loan repayments, HP etc. 7. Where applicable, the above details for your co-applicant. |
